The Yunus Emre Culture and Arts Week started with prayers and the recital of the Quran at the graveside of Yunus Emre in the Milaliççık township attended by Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı. Minister Avcı, Governor of Eskişehir Güngör Azim Tuna and members of the protocol prayed for Yunus Emre.

Speaking at the ceremony at the Milaliççık township commemorated Abdülbaki Gölpınar who worked hard for the restoration of the grave of Yunus Emre “he really made a great effort to restore the grave, hw worked so hard, may Allah bless his soul.

Minister Avcı thanked all the writers and poets for helping to promote Yunus Emre and added:

“I advise our young people to read the book by Sezai Karakoç on Yunus Emre and section titled “I found the best of the best of the honeys” in the book “Language and Art” by  Burhan Toprak. I try to advise the youth to read a book in every one of my speeches.” 

The Minister then read a poem by Yunuz Emre. The ceremony ended with the singing of Yunus Emre hymns, a mini reed concert. After that the guests were treated to a menu which Yunus Emre used to eat.
