Press Statement

The 8th grade second term joint exams have been completed successfully in all exam centers between April 29-30, 2015 with no incidents.

The exams were held at home and abroad as 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11.20 a.m. local time in Turkey and ended at noon. The exams were held in all centers at the same moment.

The exams were held in 970 centers and 18.349 schools at home and in 16 centers in eight countries abroad. One million 282 thousand 512 students participated in the exams.

On April 29, 2015 Wednesday the students sat at first the Turkish exam, them the Math exam and later at the Religious Culture and Morals exam. On Thursday they sat at the Science and Technology exam, the Turkish Republic History and Revolutions exam and the Foreign Language exam at their own classes with some exceptions due to special cases. 

Due to special circumstances which were officially documented 2 students took the exam at hospital, 119 at home and 8 thousand 328 in single rooms.

The replies for the questions were published at www.eba.gov.tr and odsgm.meb.gov.tr on April 30, 2015 after all the exams were completed. 

Students who could not attend due to justified excuses will be required to take the make up exams to be held between May 16 and 17, 2015.

Offices of the school principals are required to enter the names of the excused students into the e-school system by May 5, 2015 Tuesday by 5 p.m.

We wish success to all the students that have taken part in the exams and thank the parents as well as the school administrators and teachers for their efforts.
